Blade Mill
Blade Mill, also know as log washer, is specialized machines designed to scour, abrade, and break down water-soluble silts and deleterious clays from contaminated ores, coarse rocks, or sand feeds.The distinction from traditional log washers, Blade Mills feature an alternating arrangement of paddles and spiral blades. It is engineered to separate and wash aggregates & ores ranging in size from 0 to 70 mm, effectively removing sticky clays to improve screening efficiency.
Blade Mills are available in various sizes and configurations of spirals and paddles, including single or double shafts, to suit different operational requirements.
Working Principle
A blade mill features an alternating arrangement of spiral blades and paddles mounted on the main shaft, which cleans the material through agitation and friction. This design is capable of handling both fine and coarse particles simultaneously.
The blade mill is installed at a slight angle, with the material being pushed towards the discharge outlet by the rotation of the spiral blades and paddles. During this process, the material rubs against itself, effectively breaking down and removing adhered impurities. Light impurities and slurry are carried away by the reverse water flow, while the clean material is discharged from the top of the equipment.
