A jig separator is a type of gravity separation equipment. It operates through periodic water flow (pulsating water flow), causing materials to stratify in water based on their specific gravity, thereby achieving the separation of heavy and light materials. Heavier materials settle at the bottom, while lighter materials remain on the upper layer. The Jig separator has been widely applied in mineral beneficiation, metallurgical slag processing, and resource recycling. It is particularly suitable for the purification of low-grade ores and the recovery of metallic resources. |
The FRT16-2 jigseparator is a newly developed model by FRP . Its working intensity is significantly higher than that of conventional down-moving jigs, and its stroke range far exceeds that of compound jigs. Additionally, its stroke coefficient is higher than both down-moving and compound jigs. As a result, the FRT16-2 jig separator offers several advantages, including a large feed particle size range(0-50mm), high processing capacity(40-60tph), and a small footprint. Currently, this machine has been successfully applied in the beneficiation of iron ore, fluorite, manganese ore, specularite, and barite, achieving excellent beneficiation results. |

Features and benefits 1. Compact structure with a small footprint; 2. All moving parts are reinforced for high strength, giving it the advantage of heavy load and high efficiency; 3. Maximum feed particle size of 50mm, with an hourly production capacity of 60 tons; 4. Simple operation, easy maintenance, minimal wear parts, suitable for harsh conditions, high workloads, and demanding processing environments. |
Due to its high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and low energy consumption, the FRP jig separator has been widely used in mineral processing and resource recovery. 1. Metal Ore Beneficiation * Iron Ore: Used for the enrichment of weakly magnetic iron ores such as hematite, limonite, and specularite. * Manganese Ore: Suitable for the separation of oxide manganese ore and carbonate manganese ore. * Chromite Ore: Used for the enrichment of chromite to improve its grade. * Tungsten and Tin Ores: Commonly used for the roughing and concentration of wolframite and cassiterite. * Gold Ore: Applied in the rough selection of alluvial gold to enhance recovery rates. * Lead-Zinc Ore: Used for the gravity separation of oxidized lead-zinc ores. |
2. Non-Metallic Ore Beneficiation * Gemstone: Used to extract rubies, sapphires, diamonds and other gemstones from raw ore. * Fluorite: Enhances fluorite grade by removing gangue minerals. * Barite: Widely used for barite purification to increase its specific gravity. |
3. Recycled Resource Recovery * Incineration Ash:The jig separator can be used to recover ferrous and non-ferrous metals from municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) ash, enhancing metal recycling efficiency. 4. Aggregate Processing * River Sand and Sea Sand Cleaning: Removes lightweight impurities and contaminants to improve sand quality. 5. Smelting Slag Recovery *The jig separator can recover ferro-manganese, ferrochrome, silico-manganese, and other metals from smelting slag, improving resource utilization. |
