Wobbler feeder, also known as butterfly screen, soil and stone separator, etc. It is suitable for the screening of various types of stones such as mud, sand, and ore. For materials that are highly viscous and mixed with stones, they are sieved to separate mud and stones. Such as separation of domestic waste, commercial waste, industrial waste, coal, decoration, construction waste, sticky and wet materials, etc. It can be classified according to different specific gravity, size, and shape, thereby reducing the load of subsequent sorting equipment.
 

Wobbler Feeders provide two functions in one unit: feeding material at a controlled rate, and scalping out the fines from the feed material. These feeders are especially good with wet, sticky materials where fines need to be scalped or are stuck to larger lumps. They also work well for scalping out materials with high percentages of clay.

The wbbler feeders contain a number of disks mounted side by side at an appropriate distance and that rotate to carry any materials placed on them. The disk cross-section may be in the form of an ellipse, triangle or circle.
Wobbler feeders can be produced in sizes of 1-2 meters wide and 3-8 meters long, as required. Two or three disk feeders can be set up in sequence for longer distances.

Working Principle

The Wobbler Feeder consists of a frame, bars and a chain drive system used to rotate the bars. The bars are elliptical in shape and are timed at 90 degrees to the adjoining bar. The drive system connects all the bars with a double- or triple-strand chain that attaches to sprockets on each bar, maintaining the 90 degree timing. This maintains the gap, or opening, between the bars at the same dimension throughout the bar rotation.

As material is moved from the feed end to the discharge end, the large lumps of material are forced up and down within the load, scrubbing against each other. This action forces any sticky material, such as clay, to be dislodged and enables it to pass through the openings between the bars. The rotation of the bars also moves the material from the feed end to the discharge end with continuous scrubbing the full distance.

Application

Wobbler Feeder is used in aggregate and mining applications to sort the run-of-mine material before the primary crusher. This scalping of the feed reduces unnecessary wear on the primary crusher.
